Commercial agreement with France’s Alstom for first line of Belgrade subway being finalized

Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Aleksandra Sofronijevic stated that Serbia was in the final stage of negotiations on a commercial agreement with the French company Alstom for the construction of the first line of the Belgrade subway.

As she stated, this document is expected to be signed soon, which would pave the way for the continuation of the project’s implementation.

She stated this during a meeting with Magali Cesana, Head of the Bilateral Affairs and International Business Development Department at the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty, as well as with French Ambassador to Serbia Florence Ferrari.

They discussed cooperation between the two countries in several infrastructure areas, and the subway was singled out as a priority.
