Priority of supply stability
Djedovic Handanovic spoke with representatives of MOL Serbia, EKO Serbia, OMV Serbia and the Secretary General of the Association of Oil Companies of Serbia about the stability of the supply of the market with petroleum products.
– Our obligation is that every gas station, wholesale customer and citizens have enough fuel for their needs and we will fulfill that. The companies I spoke with are important for the stability of supply, because they are the largest importers of petroleum products in Serbia and supply the largest part of the market, after NIS – said the minister, according to the ministry.
She emphasized that the import of derivatives in December would follow the market demand, logistics and available capacities.
– We expect it to be according to plan and that the supply will remain stable. The state is also ready to use mandatory reserves of petroleum products in order to maintain the stability of supply, if necessary – she stated.

– We need to think strategically as we have been doing so far. President Aleksandar Vucic, representatives of the Government are also conducting intensive diplomatic talks with neighboring countries, representatives of the EU, so that refineries in the region increase the share of petroleum products that will be delivered for the needs of supplying our market – she said.
She stated that various scenarios and plans had been developed, with clearly defined responsibilities regarding the sanctions on NIS, and that the state was ready and would take steps to preserve the stability of the supply of petroleum products, while negotiations over the ownership of the company were ongoing.
US sanctions against NIS officially came into effect on October 9 of this year.
