Dejan Ristanovic, editor-in-chief of PC Press, passes away

Dejan Ristanovic (1963–2025) was one of the pioneers of computing and technology journalism in the former Yugoslavia.
As the author of the famous 1983 issue of the Galaksija magazine “Computers in Your Home,” he contributed to the popularization of computers and digital technologies in the then Yugoslavia, the statement says.
In 1995, he founded the PC Press magazine, which over the course of three decades became the leading IT media in Serbia.
He was also one of the founders of Sezam, the first electronic forum, and later the internet provider SezamPro, which played an important role in the development of the internet in Serbia.
During his substantial career, it is added, Ristanovic was the author and co-author of numerous books, publications and articles, and participated in the organization of a large number of professional conferences, including the BIZIT conference.
His last major publishing project was the monograph “Our 30 Years: Technology, People and Visions,” dedicated to the anniversary of PC Press.
“His work, knowledge and enthusiasm left a deep mark on the domestic IT community and the media. The date and place of his funeral will be announced later,” the statement said.
