Loan Agreement signed with EIB for modernization, renovation and expansion of clinical centers in Belgrade, Novi Sad, Nis and Kragujevac

Of this, the EIB loan amounts to a total of EUR 315 million through the signing of two financial agreements, the first in the amount of up to EUR 157 million, which has been signed, and the second in the amount of up to EUR 158 million, the signing of which is planned for 2026, while Serbia’s investment amounts to EUR 347 million.
– Strengthening, modernizing, equipping and reconstructing healthcare institutions are of strategic importance for the Government of Serbia and with the help of partners such as the EIB, we are continuing the wave of investments in healthcare – said Mali.
He added that Serbia had excellent doctors and medical staff, to whom it wanted to provide the most modern working conditions, for maximum performance. As he said, the completion of all new and reconstructed facilities is planned for the end of 2032.
In the previous phase, a total of EUR 200 million was contracted with the European Investment Bank based on three signed financial agreements. The funds from all three loans have been fully withdrawn.
