Tender for construction of wastewater treatment plant in Cacak worth EUR 47 million announced

The Ministry of Finance, i.e. the Sector for Contracting and Financing of EU Funds (CFCU), has announced a tender for the construction of a wastewater collection and treatment system in the city of Cacak, within the framework of the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA III).

The aim of the project is to improve wastewater management and compliance with the European Directive on Urban Wastewater Treatment.

The scope of the works includes four units: design and construction of the Prelici wastewater treatment plant with an access road, design and reconstruction of the Ljubic Polje, Beljina and Kosutnjak pumping stations, with the construction of an access road to Ljubic Polje, CCTV inspection, design and rehabilitation of the sewage network, as well as the procurement of equipment for cleaning and inspection of sewage.

The contractor will be responsible for the complete implementation of the works - from design and procurement of equipment to commissioning and testing of the system.

The project will be financed from European Union funds, and the procurement will be carried out by the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Serbia.

The contract will last 1,099 days from the date of signing, while the deadline for submitting bids is February 19, 2026.

As stated earlier this year by the Mayor of Cacak, Milun Todorovic, the wastewater treatment plant will be located in Atenica, more precisely in Kulinovci, at the confluence of the Atenica River and the Morava River. According to earlier announcements, the investment was initially estimated at EUR 32 million, but due to price increases, it was increased to EUR 47 million.

Todorovic also told local media in July that the relevant ministry was expected to issue a public call for tenders for the selection of contractors, which could be completed within two years.
