Ministry of Finance planning to upgrade eInvoice system for receiving and sending cross-border invoices via PEPPOL network – Procurement value around EUR 3 million

The Ministry of Finance has announced a public procurement procedure for the upgrade of the eInvoice system for the purposes of integration with the Peppol network.

As explained in the documentation, the Ministry of Finance, as the competent state administration authority, has previously implemented a platform for the exchange of electronic invoices - the eInvoice System. In accordance with the regulatory framework, as well as considering the achieved results of the implemented platform, necessary for the functioning of the electronic invoicing system in the Republic of Serbia, there was a need to upgrade and expand the information system in question with new functionalities that enable the receipt and sending of cross-border invoices via the PEPPOL network.

– The procurement in question needs to be carried out through the implementation of the Peppol Access Point (AP) module with integration with the eInvoice System (SEF) so that public sector entities can receive Peppol invoices, by automatically being registered for access to the Peppol network via the AP. It should also be possible for public sector entities, if they wish, to have the option of sending Peppol invoices via AP, as well as for SEF users that are not public sector entities to have the option of registering for access to the Peppol network via AP and thus have the option of sending and receiving Peppol invoices – the documentation states.

The estimated value of the procurement is 355 million dinars excluding VAT, or about EUR 3 million.
