Japanese company to invest 500 million euros if US reduces tariffs for Serbia?

If the tariff issue is resolved, a Japanese company is ready to invest 500 million euros immediately, said Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.

– If we resolve the tariff issue, a Japanese company is ready to invest 500 million euros immediately. For us, this is not just a question of exports of one billion. For us, it is a question of the overall investment environment. That is why it is important to us, for the overall investment environment – Vucic stated on TV Blic, answering a question about the upcoming meeting in New York.

The Serbian delegation recently signed a statement with Japan on mutual encouragement and protection of investments between the two countries.

The statement was signed on behalf of Serbia by the Minister of Foreign and Internal Trade, Jagoda Lazarevic. According to the Ministry’s statement, the negotiations have been concluded and technical procedures remain to be completed.
