Amended Regulation on Margins adopted – Logistics rebate limited

The Government of Serbia has adopted an amended regulation on limiting the margins of retail chains at an extraordinary session, which limits the “logistics rebate” and other fees, the Ministry of Trade announced.

The regulation on special conditions for conducting trade for certain types of goods now also contains provisions limiting the “logistics rebate” and "fee for shortage of goods and write-off of goods” to three and one percent, respectively.

The Government of Serbia amended the regulation adopted on Thursday, which envisages the limitation of retail chains’ margins to 20 percent from September 1, because retailers have already tried to misuse it and impose additional costs on manufacturers, the statement says.
