Delta to buy meat company Food Star Plus

Yuhor, owned by Delta Holding, intends to buy Food Star Plus, a meatpacking plant registered for the processing and preservation of poultry, Forbes Serbia writes today. The takeover has been announced to regional antimonopoly commissions. An application by Yuhor-Export which pertains to the acquisition of a 100% share in Food Star Plus has been submitted to the Commission for Protection of Competition of North Macedonia.

As can be seen from the application, Yuhor is a trade company that processes meat. It produces and sells meat products, and it mostly sells them in the market of Serbia, but it is also present, among others, in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, as well as in the European Union and Russia.

Food Star Plus was founded in 2014. The majority owner, with a 99.99% share, is Meat Processing Consulting. The reclaiming 0.01% is shared by Mario Stojanovic and Nikola Milisavljevic.

The company’s seat is in Belgrade, but the meatpacking plant, the processing facility and the cooling plants are in Jagodina. At the end of last year, they had 130 employees, and the year before - 90.

Last year, Food Star Plus had revenues of nearly RSD 2.8 billion. They were nearly identical the year before too. Last year, they increased their profit, so net profit amounted to RSD 95 million, whereas the year before, it was around RSD 79 million.
