Preparation of impact assessment study, as well as strategic development of legacy plan for EXPO 2027 Belgrade, commissioned

The company EXPO 2027 doo has commissioned the preparation of the impact assessment study, as well as the strategic development of the legacy plan of this specialized international exhibit. The procurement entails the preparation of a study of the assessment of the impact of EXPO 2027 Belgrade on the economic, social and environmental aspects.

– This study will encompass the measuring of the short-, medium- and long-term impact of the specialized exhibition within three key pillars: economic, social and environmental. The assessment is supposed to encompass the activities launched before the opening of EXPO, during the event itself, as well as in the legacy period after 2027, The study of the economic, social and environmental impact will be carried out in parallel with the strategic development of the legacy plan of the EXPO 2027 location and a ten-year operating business plan, including the transformation of the Belgrade Fair. These studies are designed so as to complement each other, and their integration is a key step in supporting Serbia’s goals in the field of sustainable development after EXPO 2027 – the documentation says.

The study aims to measure and quantify the economic contribution of the EXPO exhibition to the city of Belgrade and Serbia, to estimate the social impact on the relevant subjects, communities and institutions before, during and after the exhibition, to assess the ecological performances and long-term results in the field of sustainability of the EXPO exhibition and its inherited infrastructure.

Summarized reports of the Study of the Economic, Social and Environmental Impact Assessment of EXPO 2027, as said, will be publicly available.
