Sremska Raca–Kuzmin section to be completed by end-year

The Sremska Raca–Kuzmin section of the highway will, according to the latest dynamic plan and reports from contractors and investors, be physically completed by the end of this year, the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure announced.

Minister Aleksandra Sofronijevic, who took a tour of the construction site, stated that the works on the route near the Kuzmin interchange were progressing according to the planned dynamics, and added that work had been completed on the lower layers of the load-bearing road structure on the entire section, while the first layer of asphalt had been completed on a section of the route about 10 kilometers long.

The minister stated that work was underway on the construction of stone and asphalt layers of the road structure.

She emphasized that the opening of the new modern border crossing would significantly improve the flow of people and goods, reduce waiting times at the border and open up new opportunities for the economy and citizens.

After touring the route of the Sremska Raca–Kuzmin highway section, the Minister held a meeting with the contractors - the Turkish company TASYAPI and the domestic company Srem put, which is the contractor for the integrated border crossing, with the aim of synchronizing the dynamics of the construction of the highway section and the integrated border crossing, so that traffic would open with full functionality upon completion of the work.
