Belgrade Airport: Everything ready for summer season

The Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport has announced that it is ready for the summer season, during which traffic will take place on the main reconstructed runway of the airport to 116 destinations.

– This is the richest seasonal offer available to passengers in Serbia, which is a continuation of the record-breaking results from 2024, when the airport served a record 8.4 million passengers and more than 86,000 flights – the statement reads.

In addition to the main reconstructed runway, the airport also uses a new runway, located between the main runway and the taxiway. It is emphasized that for the first time in the history of the airport, four rapid exits to the taxiways (RET) have been implemented, that four new taxiways have been built, and that the configuration has been updated, which brings an increased number of operations on the main runway.

For greater efficiency and comfort for passengers, the number of car parking spaces has been doubled, 34 new check-in counters have been added, bringing the total to 90, electronic passport scanning has been enabled for arriving and departing passengers, 29 new passport control counters have been installed in cooperation with the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, and centralized security control has been introduced.

After security control, it is added, passengers can enjoy an expanded commercial offer in the new airport duty-free shop, which includes local Serbian specialties, as well as in 26 open retail outlets.

It is also stated that Tesla Square at the airport has been equipped with new furniture.
