The Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport was closed to traffic on Tuesday afternoon due to the storms that hit the Serbian capital.

Passengers were informed of the temporary suspension of traffic, and in the meantime, incoming flights have been rerouted.

In addition to Surcin, where Belgrade’s air hub is located, the storm has caused significant damage in other parts of Belgrade.

By the way, suspension and rerouting of air traffic in such weather conditions is not uncommon, and it has happened before at the Belgrade Airport, as well as at other airports. The disruption of traffic in such circumstances can last from a few hours to several hours.
