Jadranski naftovod (Janaf) has obtained a new 30-day license for a continuation of the transport of oil to the Pancevo refinery, owned by Naftna industrija Srbije (NIS), announced Janaf.

– In cooperation with the Government of Croatia and with support from its U.S. lawyers, Janaf has managed to obtained a license that enables a continuation of the implementation of the Agreement on the Transport of Crude Oil signed with NIS until July 29, 2025 – the press release says.

Janaf expresses a conviction that, in said period, all the necessary conditions and approvals for an unobstructed meeting of the obligations toward NIS under the contract will be secured.

Let us remind that the sanctions on NIS were postponed again on Friday. Previously, NIS announced that it had filed a new request to the U.S. Department of the Treasury for the issuing of a special license that would postpone the full implementation of the announced U.S. sanctions.
