Following cancellation of previous procedure, sale of RTV Kragujevac announced again – This time at price of EUR 145,000

The Ministry of Economy has announced a public call for bids as part of the public tender for the sale of the capital of Radio-Television (RTV) Kragujevac. The initial sale price for this media outlet has been set at 100% of the value of the capital, specifically EUR 144,290.

The right to participate in the privatization process of RTV Kragujevac, whose total registered capital is currently owned by the city of Kragujevac, is reserved for domestic legal entities.

Interested parties can submit applications for participation until July 14 at 3 p.m. The sales documentation will, as indicated, be available from June 26, and the fee for purchasing the sales documentation is RSD 100,000.

The opening of the main envelope and the envelope marked: “Information about the bidder” will be held on July 16, 2025, at the premises of the Ministry of Economy.

Let us remind that at the end of February this year, the Ministry of Economy annulled the previous procedure for the sale of capital of Radio-televizija Kragujevac d.o.o. As indicated at the time, this was done based on the Regulation on the conditions, procedure and manner of sale of capital and assets by the method of public collection of bids with public bidding. According to the Regulation, the Ministry of Economy has the authority to make the decision to annul the procedure at any stage of the procedure, even before the signing of the sales contract.

– During the procedure, it was established that there were certain issues related to the implementation of the privatization procedure that need to be previously considered and resolved – the decision of the Ministry of Economy stated, without specifying what the problem was.

The procedure, let us remind, was suspended at the stage when one application for participation had been received, submitted by Radio-televizija Pancevo d.o.o. This TV station was purchased in 2015 for EUR 87,200 by Radoica Milosavljevic, the former owner of Radio-Television Kragujevac. As N1 reported at the time, both representative unions of RTK – Nezavisnost and Sinos, complained about this to the Ministry of Economy, because the founder of RTV Pancevo, Radojica Milosavljevic from Krusevac, had previously been the owner of RTK.

The previous starting price for the sale of RTK was EUR 152,803.69, and the deadline for submitting applications was December 27.

As for the change in ownership of this media outlet, RTK was first privatized in 2015, when it was purchased by Radoica Milosavljevic, but that privatization was canceled in 2017, because the buyer did not fulfill the investment obligation of EUR 150,000. Owner Radoica Milosavljevic told UNS at the time that he “fully understands why the privatization was terminated.”

After the termination of this contract, the city of Kragujevac took over the management of Radio-Television Kragujevac.
