The Government of Serbia adopted the Draft of the Information Security Bill, which regulates the rules for the protection of information and communication technologies (ICT) of particular importance and establishes the conditions for the safe functioning of the digital market in accordance with the standards of the European Union.

The establishment of the Office for Information Security is thereby foreseen, as well as the mandatory implementation of risk assessment and the adoption of a security act for all priority and important ICT systems.

These measures should improve the ability of the operators of these systems to recognize potential threats and to apply appropriate protection measures.

The law also regulates procedures in the event of incidents that can seriously threaten information security, with the active participation of the National and departmental CERT teams in remediation and elimination of problems.
