Contractors for expansion of Port of Prahovo selected – Tender for expert supervision of job worth EUR 1.5 million opened

The Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure of Serbia has opened the tender for expert supervision over the works on the expansion of the capacities of the Port of Prahovo.

Let us remind that, last autumn, the procedure for the selection of the contractor was carried out, and the agreement on the execution of the works was signed with the selected contractor in December 2024. It is a consortium of companies featuring Aqua mont service doo Beograd, Mont R doo Meljak, Axis gradjevinski biro doo Sremska Kamenica, Trioprojekt doo Beograd, Elixir engineering doo Sabac, Statik doo Kovin, Geodetski biro Geogroup Negotin, Elixir Craft doo Sabac and CRBC Serbia Beograd.

As reminded in the documentation of the tender for supervision worth RSD 177 million (around EUR 1.5 million), the ministry, in the capacity of investor on behalf of the Republic of Serbia, has commenced the implementation of the project of the reconstruction and extension of the existing facilities and the construction of new port capacities of the Port of Prahovo, which aims to expand the capacities of the port, which is one of the most important industrial facilities in the municipality of Negotin, founded for the purpose of providing transport services to the IHP Prahovo complex.

– The subject of the procurement is the service of expert supervision over the execution of the works on the phase-based reconstruction and extension of the existing facilities and the construction of new facilities within the Port of Prahovo at the survey marks from roughly km 858+800 to km 859+800 of the right-hand bank of the river Danube. The reconstruction and extension of the existing facilities and the construction of new facilities within the Port of Prahovo will be carried out in phases, as specified by the approval planning – the documentation says.

The planned phases envisage the construction of an administrative buildings with five floors (including the ground floor) and a GFA of 2,845 m2, a ground-floor departure desk facility and weighing bridge control with a GFA of 51.35 m2, a ground-floor departure desk facility with a GFA of 51.35 m2, a ground-floor building along the weighing bridge with a GFA of 23.25 m2, a ground-floor mechanic’s workshop with a spare part warehouse and a substation with a GFA of 523.77 m2, a substation for the ground-floor Green Terminal with a GFA of 107.6 m2. The works also encompass the dismantling/demolition of the existing facilities which are located on the cadastral parcel no. 5852/2 KO Prahovo, namely, facilities listed in the real estate folio under the numbers 1, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 15 and 16, as well as facilities which are not listed in the real estate folio and which are marked in the Project of Preparatory Works – Building Demolition, the documentation specifies.

As added, the technical documentation (Preliminary Project with Feasibility Study, Environmental Impact Assessment Study, Approval Planning) for the expansion of the capacities of the Port of Prahovo has been completed. The location requirements for the phase-based reconstruction and extension of the existing facilities and the construction of new capacities of the Port of Prahovo have been issued by the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure.

The planning basis is the Detailed Regulation Plan of the Port of Prahovo, and the funds for the construction of port infrastructure, as pointed out, will be secured from the state budget.

Bids may be submitted by June 10.
