International Building Trade Fair from April 23 to 26 in Belgrade

The International Building Trade Fair, the 49th in a row, in which more than 400 exhibitors from 27 countries will participate, opens tomorrow at the Belgrade Fair, the organizers announced today.

As stated, Albania, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Croatia, Italy, Lithuania, Hungary, Germany, Romania, Russia, North Macedonia, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Serbia will be represented at this year’s event.

Visitors can also expect seven national exhibitions that will present achievements in the field of construction in Austria, Montenegro, the Czech Republic, China, Poland, Republika Srpska (BiH) and Turkey.

This year, experts and companies will present the latest trends, technologies and projects in this field at the Building Trade Fair.

As stated in the announcement, the exhibition program will cover all key segments of the construction industry - the latest technologies in construction, innovative materials and energy efficiency and sustainability.

Among the exhibitors will be manufacturers of concrete, building blocks, bricks, roof and facade cladding, insulation materials, floor coverings, glass, wooden structures and other materials used in construction, manufacturers of energy-efficient systems and equipment for air conditioning and ventilation, as well as new solutions for waterproofing and sound insulation.


In addition, manufacturers and distributors of construction equipment, tools and machinery, such as excavators, trucks, cranes, compressors, backhoes, loaders and tools for cutting, drilling and grinding, will be represented.

Also, visitors will have the opportunity to learn about new technologies in construction, including smart systems for building management, automation and digitalization.

As the latest technological solution in construction, the fair audience will have the opportunity to see composite reinforcement and learn about its advantages, as well as modular housing facilities, so-called containers.

Visitors to the fair will be shown solar panels of the latest generation, carpentry machines and related equipment.

Also, new solutions for interior and exterior wall cladding will be available.

The exhibition program will also include elements for so-called smart houses, some of which are built according to the most modern ecological standards.

Profiles for carpentry, glass and glass facades, doors and windows, gates and fences, fittings and locks for carpentry, blinds, curtains, wooden stairs, parquet, paneling, as well as lighting, electrical and energy devices, computer software in construction will be presented at the fair.

Those interested will be able to see new trends in the manufacture of chimneys and ventilation systems, concrete, fittings, and concrete products, haberdashery, air conditioning and heating devices, pipes, installations and sewage equipment, general purpose accessories, electrical and energy devices, various tools for construction will be exhibited; machines and devices for the construction material industry, construction machinery.

Manufacturers will exhibit bricks and blocks, tiles and other roof coverings, instruments and accessories for construction laboratories, design, engineering, construction, reconstruction and restoration, partition walls and ceilings, swimming pools, saunas, equipment, thermal, water, sound insulation, anti-corrosion and fire protection, paints, varnishes, painting tools.

In the open exhibition area, prefabricated objects, machines and devices for the construction material industry, construction machinery, mining machinery, scaffolding will be presented.

The event, like every year, will bring together everyone involved in planning, designing and construction - architects, designers, investors, representatives of the industrial and commercial sector, construction craftsmen, manufacturers of construction materials.

A B2B business portal will be available to all participants and business visitors of the Construction Fair.

The patron of the 49th International Construction Fair is the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure of Serbia.

The working hours of the fair from April 23 to 25 will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and on April 26 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The price of an individual ticket is 700 dinars, for group visits the ticket is 300 dinars, and tickets for pupils and students cost 200 dinars with a student card and index, while the price of parking is 200 dinars per hour.

Preteča preduzeća Beogradski sajam bilo je Društvo za priređivanje sajma, formirano 1923. (1933) godine. Postojao je problem adekvatne lokacije, ali povezivanjem Zemuna sa Beogradom i izgradnjom Mosta kralja Aleksandra stvoreni su preduslovi da se i taj problem reši. Godine 1937. na levoj obali Save, na prostoru danas poznatom kao Staro sajmište, izgrađen je sajamski kompleks sa 26 paviljona različite namene i vlasništva, a izlagačima je na raspolaganje stavljeno 17.000 kvadratnih metara prostora pod krovom i još 20.000 na otvorenoj površini. Prvi Beogradski sajam otvoren je 11. septembra 1937. godine.

Drugi svetski rat prekinuo je aktivnosti Beogradskog sajma, a sajamski kompleks pretvoren je u nacistički koncentracioni logor, "Jevrejski logor Zemun", u kome je izvršen veliki pogrom Jevreja, odn. kasniji Prihvatni logor za različite taoce.

Narodni odbor Beograda 13. maja 1953. godine je doneo odluku o izgradnji novog sajamskog kompleksa. Početku izgradnje je prethodio konkurs na kojem je prva nagrada dodeljena projektu arhitekata Vladete Maksimovića i Milorada Pantovića. Nakon toga se ipak, na inicijativu investitora, odustalo od prihvaćenog prvonagrađenog projekta, sa željom da kroz monumentalniju arhitekturu država bolje prikaže, a beogradska arhitektura da bude ravnopravnije uključena u savremene evropske tokove.Zbog toga je arhitekta Milorad Pantović obišao najmodernije evropske sajmove, i sa novim timom saradnika, inženjerima Brankom Žeželjem i Milanom Krstićem, izneo nov projekat koji je sproveden i kojim je Beogradski sajam dobio izgled kakavi ma danas.
