Serbia and Samara Oblast in Russia improving strategic partnership in industry, innovations and education

At the meeting of the minister without portfolio at the Government of Serbia in charge of international economic cooperation and the social position of the church in the country and abroad, Nenad Popovic, and the vice-governor of Samara Oblast, Anton Emelianenko, the mutual readiness for a further improvement of the cooperation was confirmed, with a special emphasis on concrete directions of economic connecting and development.
The minister was on a working visit to Samara Oblast in the Russian Federation, one of the most significant industrial centers of Russia, known for the remarkably developed automotive and aviation industry, as well as for its technical innovations.
– Samara Oblast is a strategically important partner for Serbia, both for its strong industrial and technological infrastructure and the potentials for cooperation in agriculture, the chemical industry and the automotive industry, innovations and education. I believe that connecting our companies and institutions, exchanging the knowledge and a joint development of high-tech products might contribute to a mutual economic strengthening. Our goal is to make the cooperation with Samara Oblast systemic and long-term, through concrete project, support to business people and the strengthening of the economic capacities of both sides – stated minister Popovic, according to the ministry’s announcement.
The possibilities of cooperation in the field of science, education and new technologies, with a special focus on partnerships in industry and joint innovation projects, were also considered during the meeting.
