Germany confirms participation in EXPO 2027

Germany has officially confirmed its participation in the Specialized Exhibition EXPO 2027, which will be held in Belgrade, with the theme of “Play for Humanity: Sports and Music for All”. The most influential country of the European Union is a regular participant in international exhibitions ever since the first Great Exhibition in 1851 in London, and it was also one of the first signatories of the 1928 Paris Convention, by which the International Exhibition Bureau (Bureau International des Expositions - BIE) was created. So far, Germany has hosted Expo 2000 in Hanover, two specialized exhibitions, EXPO 1957 in Berlin and EXPO 1965 in Munich, and as many as five Horticulture Exhibitions.

– We are very proud that, in Belgrade, in 2027, the third biggest economy of the world and one of the most significant foreign trade partners of our country will present its interpretation of dance, music and sports. The presence of the Federal Republic of Germany at EXPO 2027 Belgrade is another proof that the first specialized exhibition in the Western Balkans will be among the main world events that year and we are therefore very glad that we will be able to unite the planet in Serbia – pointed out the director of the company EXPO 2027 d.o.o. Beograd, Dusan Borovcanin.

EXPO 2027 Belgrade will be held from May 15 through August 15, 2027, and the Serbian capital is expected to host over 120 countries and attract more than four million visitors during the 93 days of the duration of the event.
