The Nikola Tesla Museum has opened the tender for the creation of replicas of seven Tesla’s inventions in the field of energy and high voltage and frequency electricity.

Among the sought replicas is the induction motor gifted to professor William Edward Ayrton, which is the only known preserved induction motor that Tesla designed and had made according to his instructions in the world. Tesla gifted the motor to professor Ayrton in 1893 and today it belongs to the Science Museum in London.

In addition, the creation of the rotation generator HF electricity 2 is sought.

– This is one of the several HF generators that Tesla built and with which he carried out early experiments with HF electricity in the early 1890s. He described it in the court dispute National Electric Signaling Company vs. Atlantic Communication Company. In addition to an original photograph, the patent no. 447921 has been preserved – the documentation says.

The tender also seeks the creation of the electric oscillator that Tesla described in the article “Electric Oscillators” published in the Electrical Experimenter magazine in July 1919, as a small machine meant primarily for the ignition of petrol engines. In addition to an original photograph, there is also a patent drawing of the machine no. 609 250.

The plan also includes the creation of a replica of an electro-therapeutic instrument, a commercial device that Tesla designed and had made in 1908. This device was supposed to serve for surface skin therapy using HF electricity. There is an original device in the Museum which has never been activated.

The construction of another two electric oscillators is planned as well. One of them was described by Tesla in the Electrical Experimenter magazine, in the July issue of 1919. It is the oscillator that he described as the earliest form of his oscillators meant for experimental purposes. Tesla described the second oscillator as a big machine meant for the generation of X-rays, wireless signal and energy transfer and general experiments with HF electricity. Only an original photograph has been saved.

The final exhibit, that is, a replica that needs to be created, is a replica of a receiver of electromagnetic waves.

Bids may be submitted by February 28.

(Wikipedia)
