Cadez: Our companies to make software for supercomputers

The Chamber of Commerce of Serbia (CCIS) has announced that it will cooperate with the European leader in the field of supercomputers, the Eviden company, in order to involve local companies in the development of innovative software solutions.

– Already in March, we will start with the first workshops, dedicated to the involvement of companies in Serbia in the development of software solutions for the best possible use of the new supercomputer, primarily for large and innovative companies, as well as for startups that will benefit greatly from the new solutions – said the president of the CCIS, Marko Cadez, in Paris after a meeting with the management of Eviden.

He added that they agreed that the company would form a development team, and that the Government of Serbia was considering the purchase of a new supercomputer for the Data Center in Kragujevac.

The President of the CCIS, as a member of the Serbian delegation led by the Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation, Jelena Begovic, met with the President of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), Abdullah bin Sharaf Alghamdi, and the Greek Minister for Digital Governance, Dimitris Papastergiou.

– We agreed with the president of the Saudi administration that already in the first half of this year, companies from Serbia will visit Riyadh and discuss new solutions based on artificial intelligence, primarily for the economy, as well as joint business with numerous companies that have opened development centers in Saudi Arabia – said Cadez.

At the meeting with the Greek minister, the importance of cooperation and connection of universities, scientific institutes, startups and companies in the development of AI solutions was pointed out. There was also talk about cooperation between Greece and Serbia in the application of satellite technologies, especially in agriculture where AI can contribute to improving yields.

– In Paris, Serbia received lots of praise for what has been done in the past seven or eight years in the field of innovation, startups, ICT in general, which is confirmed by the data that just six years ago, our country exported software for 400 million euros, and today for more than four billion – said Cadez.
