It was this contradiction that inspired them to explore how to provide HR professionals with more time and space for tasks that create value.
- Our first step was the “Disrupt Mindset” board game, which helped HR teams think outside the box and develop different solutions through workshops. The great success of the workshops confirmed that there is a need for a tool that enables this way of thinking. We decided to make this concept scalable through a digital solution, the "Disrupt HR Mindset" application, which provides inspiration, support and creative solutions for everyday HR challenges. Our goal was to enable HR professionals to truly contribute to the strategic goals of their companies, with minimal administrative burden - explains Nevena Stanisavljevic, founder of HR World.
The application uses AI technology to generate creative solutions and ideas on how to improve a specific HR process, relying on the thinking of famous business leaders and historical figures. Currently, AI provides solutions from a generally available database, personalizing them with values that are important to your organization. In this way, users receive quick and creative insights that can improve their processes, our interviewee emphasizes and adds:
- The new iteration in the development of the application involves the integration of the HR World knowledge base, developed over the past seven years. Thousands of video and text materials, which we have carefully created, will become the basis for training the AI model. When this improvement is completed, the application will generate solutions based on our exclusive content, making the suggestions even more credible, richer and more adapted to the real challenges of HR practice.
As a key step in the improvement, HR World is working on developing an HR assistant that will enable not only the generation of solutions, but also interactive conversations with users.
- In this way, solutions will be able to be further adapted to the specifics of the organization and maximize their potential. Our goal is for the HR assistant to become a standalone tool that will support HR teams from different industries in decision-making and process optimization - says Stanisavljevic.

The current solution uses ChatGPT to generate answers, but the key difference is the internal knowledge base.
- Over the years, through HR World events and publications, we have created proven and credible content based on the best practices. These materials make our AI model unique and provide more precise answers, which they cannot get anywhere else - notes Stanisavljevic.
She also states that personalization is another important component. Users can customize solutions according to industry, company size, location and ownership structure. For example, a proposal for a local IT startup will differ from a solution for a large retail chain. In addition, the application analyzes the user’s previous searches, as well as searches for similar profiles, providing the most relevant and applicable answers.
- Our ultimate goal is an HR assistant that will not only offer suggestions, but also enable deeper elaboration, customization and strategic planning in real time - says Nevena Stanisavljevic.

HR World grantee of the StarTech Program 2024
HR World is a grantee, or one of the winners of financial support, in the third annual competition within the StarTech program. The system being developed is an upgrade of the “Disrupt HR Mindset” application, which was presented in the final of the StarTech program 2023. Nevena Stanisavljevic explained to us what has changed in a year and how much the solution has progressed:
- Over the past year, our journey from a prototype to a fully functional application has been dynamic and exciting. Today, the application allows HR teams to receive concrete solutions and ideas, which are already integrated into the work of numerous organizations. On a local level, we presented the application in September at the “Disrupt HR Belgrade” event, where 350 HR professionals tried out its capabilities first-hand. On a global level, we launched it during the HR Week conference, which brought together 10,000 participants from all over the world.
We are especially proud of the feedback from our community. Actively involving HR professionals in testing and development has allowed us to improve the user experience and further adapt the application to market needs. Our community is our greatest support, and we are grateful for the opportunity to develop the solution in collaboration with top experts from around the world.

“Technology is here to support HR, not replace it”
Our interviewee says that HR World believes that technology is not just a tool, but also a catalyst for transforming HR into a strategic function and is crucial to the success of the company.
- Our slogan, “Better HR for a better World”, reflects the belief that improving HR processes and approaches has a far-reaching impact, not only on business results, but also on the people who make up those companies - she emphasizes.

She believes that new technology, such as artificial intelligence, enables HR professionals to move from operational tasks to strategic activities that deliver real value. She adds that solutions like the “Disrupt HR Mindset” application help HR professionals make decisions faster, create creative solutions tailored to their organizations, and think outside the box:
- This opens up space to focus on what matters most, developing talent, building an engaged workforce, and creating sustainable organizational cultures. Ultimately, technology is there to support HR, not replace it. The human factor remains the core of every organization, and HR professionals, supported by new technologies, have the opportunity to shape the future of work, creating better organizations and, therefore, a better world.
