iPhone users can no longer download NIS apps

iPhone users can no longer download the apps of Naftna Industrija Srbije (NIS), whereas Android devices still support this option, but it’s a matter of time when they remove that option too, the Politika daily reports.

As they write, it will be a big problem for NIS if the banks also rush to stop the transactions with the company.

This primarily pertains to western banks, because it is not known how their parent houses will position themselves in relation to Gazpromneft, the Politika daily learns.

NIS has been put on the list of sanctions that was published on January 10 by the U.S. Department of the Treasury due to the ownership share of the Russian company Gazpromneft.

NIS is sanctioned due to the so-called “secondary risk,” that is, its connection with the Russian Gazpromneft.
