Trading of NIS shares stopped at Belgrade Stock Exchange

According to the decision, the temporary ban will last until January 28.
As said in the explanation of the decision, the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) within the U.S. Department of the Treasury announced on January 10, 2025, on its Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons list – SDN list that, within the measures that the OFAC is undertaking, in line with Subsection 11 of the Executive Order 14024 of April 15, 2021, related to the energy sector of the economy of the Russian Federation, NIS a.d., has included that company on the SDN list. In that way, as said, sanctions are introduced on that company which could affect the way that company operates, as well as the price of the shares whose issuer is that company, and which are included in the trading in the regulated market in the segment of the listing of the Belgrade Stock Exchange.
