At the final session of the Council for Coordination of Activities and Measures for GDP Growth for this year, it was assessed that industrial production, construction, mining, as well as the ICT sector are still key areas for GDP growth, which is expected to return to the pre-coronavirus pandemic period next year, which will also enable an increase in salaries and pensions.

It was emphasized that in order to maintain sustainable economic growth in the first quarter of next year, it is necessary to continue investing in capital projects, industrial production and the creation of new jobs, as said on the website of the Government of Serbia.

When it comes to the agricultural sector, it was estimated that RSD 149.5 billion were allocated in the next year’s budget for this sector, primarily for incentives in agriculture and rural development, which represents an increase of 286 percent compared to the 2015 budget.

Prime Minister Miloš Vučević, who chaired the session of the Council, told Council members, ministers, directors of public enterprises and mayors that it is necessary for them to be more dedicated to their work in 2025 in order to overcome the upcoming challenges and achieve significant economic progress.
