Reconstruction of Training Center of Aviation Academy in Vrsac begins – EUR 48 million in works and equipment

The reconstruction of the Training Center of the Aviation Academy in Vrsac begins today, stated Gabrijela Grujic, the acting director of the Office for Dual Education and the National Qualifications Framework. She added that EUR 28 million would be invested in the moving of the road, the construction of a heliport, the reconstruction and extension of the runway and in all the student accommodation facilities.

According to her, another EUR 20 million will be invested in the equipment – the purchase of the most modern planes, two double-engine ones, one single-engine one and a simulator, which are expected to be delivered by March next year.

– Today, we officially announced the beginning of the reconstruction on the student catering facility, and the tender for the reconstruction of the student accommodation facilities is in progress, and we will successively open each tender that way. We expect the reconstruction of the Training Center to be completed by late 2025 or early 2026 at the latest – Grujic said during the air show in Vrsac, which marked a century of the existence of the Aviation Academy.
