Mali: Construction of 1,500 apartments for EXPO to begin in autumn

The construction of apartments for EXPO will begin in the autumn, and then also the thematic parks and other features, announced the minister of finance of Serbia, Sinisa Mali. As he said, the plan is for EXPO 2027 to be a new source of the growth of Serbia and said that it would be used to the maximum “so that we would reach the expected EUR 100 billion of the GDP for that year.”

– New sources of growth are the biggest problem of all countries, but Serbia is doing it successfully, as confirmed by the director of the IMF, who said that Serbia was a bright spot even at the global level. With EXPO and the clearly defined economic policy goals, Serbia is making the right moves, because, according to the indicators, we are doing well in the conditions of an incredible instability – Mali said on TV Pink and added that EXPO 2027, along with the “Leap into the Future – Serbia 2027” plan, would activate 323 projects in the whole Serbia, worth a total of EUR 17.8 billion.

When it comes to the construction of apartments, let us remind that the company SPV Galovica 1, one of the 6 companies established for the construction of EXPO 2027 facilities, had opened the tender for the design of a residential complex, for which a consortium of 6 companies was awarded the job.

The complex is planned on around 160,000 m2. Interestingly, the lots planned for construction are mostly located near Dobanovci, more precisely just above the Dobanovici reserve, close to the hunting ground and the so-called "new state mansion" heavily damaged during the 1999 NATO bombing, whereas one lot is located in Boljevci.
