DS Smith to Invest EUR 16 Million in Facility in Krusevac

DS Smith Packaging is planning to invest EUR 16 million in its production location in Krusevac.

– After the doubling of the production volume in 2015, the investment in DS Smith Krusevac will support the constant efforts toward the replacement of plastic in customers, increase the capacity by 25% and considerably increase the productivity – the company announced.

The money will be used for the installation of a Goepfert Evolution – Flexo printer with six colors and lacquer. This equipment strengthens the possibilities in the designing of the packaging for consumer goods and supports automated packing lines, not just in Serbia, but in the surrounding area as well.

The investment also includes the upgrade of corrugators and enables continued production and an increase in productivity by at least 20%, it has been announced. The introduction of a new Bobst 924 Inline machine and the Bobst Mastercut 2.1 die-cutter in processing additionally improves product quality, minimizes the waste and improves the precision of rotation cutting.
