Serbia will soon directly import agricultural products from Uganda. Coffee, vanilla and other goods will arrive through the airport in Nis.

– I believe that it could be a development spot for both Serbia and this area – said Bratislav Stoiljkovic, the trade representative of Uganda for Southeast Europe, said for TV Prva.

The Nis Airport is also satisfied with the agreement. The trade will bring a lot of work for their cargo center.

– The opening of a new market, which has not existed so far, not just here, but let’s say in Europe either, will also provide an opportunity for a further development of cargo transport at the Nis Constantine the Great Airport – says Mihajlo Zdravkovic, the director of the Airports of Serbia company.

Let us remind that, in mid-2023, Serbia and Uganda signed memoranda on cooperation in the fields of agriculture and tourism.

Following his visit to Serbia, the president of Uganda, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, wrote on social networks that Serbia had accepted to buy their coffee.
