Novi Sad to Get New Bus Factory – Feniksbus to Build Facility in Klisa

The City Administration for Environmental Protection of Novi Sad has adopted the decision saying that the preparation of the environmental impact assessment study for the project of the construction of the bus production factory is necessary.

The investor in the project is Feniksbus doo Novi Sad, a producer of mini and midibuses.

The future factory will have a production hall with an administrative part and a warehouse of flammable matters, and it will be located in Jegricka Street in the Klisa neighborhood, in the cadaster parcel no. 81/1, cadaster municipality of Novi Sad IV, City of Novi Sad.

The technical procedure of the production of buses and extensions in the factory, as said in the request, will entail the preparation of parts, the frames of the extension, the preparation of the chassis, the assembly of the framework with the chassis, the interphase surface protection of the framework and the application of the external coverings.

It will also include the preparation of parts made of fiberglass, the preparation and final painting of the parts and buses, the assembling of the interior bus elements, the assembling of the doors, external and internal trunks, lids and handles, the mounting of the seats, finishing works, cleaning, removal of smudges and the final checking and inspection before the delivery, with the removal of the minor flaws.

Feniksbus Novi Sad was founded in 2010, as a company owned by the Slovenian companies Feniksbus and Gradient.

The range of products, according to the company’s website, consists of mini and midibuses built on the IVECO 70C chassis or vans for various applications: city, suburban, school, intercity, or tourism versions with diesel and CNG drives.

Feniksbus currently produces buses in the halls of the former chemical company HINS in Novi Sad.
