ElevenEs Opens First European Facility for Production of LFP Battery Cells in Subotica

ElevenEs’s first industrial facility dedicated to LFP battery cell production is fully operational, the company says on its website.

The production site, located in Subotica, Serbia, specializes in producing high-quality LFP prismatic cells which are shipped to customers for sample A and B testing across a variety of applications, including electric cars, buses, trucks and energy storage systems.

Let us remind that, as announced in 2021, the pilot production activities at the complex for the production and recycling of batteries on 30 hectares in Subotica should start in 2023, whereas the beginning of commercial production is expected for 2024, and the envisaged capital investments have been estimated at close to EUR 1 billion.

Centar je predviđen da se koristi u naučno istraživačke svrhe, naročito za razvoj i optimizaciju baterija, prvenstveno za upotrebu u elektičnim vozilima.

Planirani proces proizvodnje baterija u Istražnom centru sastoji se od proizvodnje elektroda, sklapanja baterija i formiranja baterija.

Proizvodnim procesom predviđene su tri vrste baterija - baterija Edge256, Edge575 i Edge950, a broj uz naziv označava dužinu baterije u milimetrima.

Edge je prva evropska LFP baterijska c?elija (litijum-gvozdeno-fosfatna baterija), bez kobalta i nikla.
