Djedovic: Preparatory Works for Construction of HPP Buk Bijela in Progress, Removal of Procedural Problems Expected

During her conversation with the minister of energy and mining of Republika Srpska, Petar Djokic, she emphasized that the construction of the HPP was very important for Serbia and Republika Srpska due to its contribution to energy security and stability in the coming decades.
She added that Serbia and Republika Srpska were permanently oriented toward each other, making it necessary to deepen the energy cooperation, the driving engine of economic progress, the ministry announced.
The minister reminded that the Trans-Balkans Corridor was being built through Serbia and that it would connect the country with Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Italy.
– Our aim is to connect with our neighbors so as to have as much electrical energy to exchange as possible, and even export, because the plan is to raise the production capacities – Djedovic said.
According to her, the completion of the works on the construction of the power line between Ljubovija and Srebrenica, which should boost the transfer network, is expected for this year.
