Minister Announces by How Much Electricity and Gas Prices Are to Increase from January

From 2023, the price of electrical energy will increase 10%, which will be a price increase of less than RSD 300 for an average household a month, the minister of energy and mining of Serbia, Dubravka Djedovic, wrote on her Instagram profile, with the note “important”.

The minister’s cabinet has confirmed for the Danas daily that the price increase will apply beginning with the January bills, which will be due for citizens in February.

– The state will continue subsidizing the price of electricity, so our price of electrical energy will be among the lowest in Europe. From 2023, the price of gas will increase 11%. In the past two weeks, the price of gas has increased three times in the global market. At this moment, the gas in Serbia is the cheapest for the industry, and the third cheapest in Europe for households – Djedovic wrote.

She reminded the citizens that “through responsible behavior and reduction of consumption, they will realize up to a 30% bill discount”.

– In the conditions of the global energy crisis, we need to adopt measures which will ensure a secure and continuous supply – Djedovic wrote on Instagram.
