Presentation of Guarantee Scheme of United States International Development Finance Corporation in December

The guarantee scheme of the United States International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), through which companies will be provided with help so that they can grow, create new jobs and maintain their business operations in difficult times, will be officially presented in December, it was said during the meeting of the minister of finance of Serbia, Sinisa Mali, and the US ambassador to Serbia, Christopher Hill, according to the website of the Ministry of Finance.

As said, the scheme provides the Serbian economy with the availability of a wide range of financial products at the most favorable conditions.

They especially highlighted the Open Balkans initiative and agreed that it was a good idea and a great opportunity for better connections, easier movement of people and goods, new jobs.

They agreed that the cooperation of the two countries was at a high level and cited, as an example, the companies which invest in Serbia, such as NCR, and ambassador Hill pointed out that Serbia had good staff and young experts.

Mali and Hill, as said, also discussed the infrastructural projects, especially highlighting the Morava Corridor. The minister pointed out that the current world crisis had not stopped the large infrastructural projects that were important for the growth of the Serbian economy and noted that the Morava Corridor, being built by an American consortium, was of remarkable importance.
