– Our aim is to speed up the traffic so that people would arrive faster by highways to their destinations, and the ban on passing for freight vehicles on highways will reduce traffic jams, speed up the traffic and further increase traffic safety – pointed out Momirovic and added that Serbia was an important transit country in Eastern Europe and that the government and his ministry implemented an active traffic policy, which entails the ministry’s current preparation of the National Traffic Development Strategy.
– When it comes to the further development of e-mobility, the Government of the Republic of Serbia provides support through subsidies for public transport (taxi transport) of EUR 8,000 for the purchase of a new electric or hybrid car, and subsidies of EUR 5,000 are also available to citizens for the purchase of electric or hybrid vehicles. We expect the private sector to become even more active and involved when it comes to securing and implementing electric car chargers in the locations of hotels, motels, guesthouses or gas stations on our roads – concluded Momirovic.
