Serbia Donates First EUR 10 Million for Bijeljina-Raca Highway

The Government of Republika Srpska has accepted a donation by Serbia of EUR 10 million meant for the financing of the construction of the Bijeljina-Raca highway.

According to the decision adopted at the session of the Government of Republika Srpska held on Friday, it is a one-off aid which is realized according the agreement on establishing special parallel relations between Serbia and Republika Srpska.

– The Ministry of Finance will pay the approved funds to the account of Autoputevi Republike Srpske – says the decision of the Government of Republika Srpska.

By the way, Serbia has obliged to pay around EUR 100 million for this highway.

According to the announcements, the works should start soon. They will be carried out by the consortium consisting of Integral Inzenjering from Laktasi, Srbijaautoput from Belgrade and Institut za gradjevinarstvo IG from Banjaluka.

Their offer was the most favorable one in the public procurement procedure, amounting to BAM 258.1 million, or around EUR 129 million.
