Al Dahra Gets Green Light for Beginning of Construction of Animal Feed Factory in Kovilovo

The Secretariat for Environmental Protection of the City of Belgrade has notified the public that the decision has been adopted by which the study of the environmental impact assessment of Al Dahra’s project in Kovilovo has been approved.

The decision orders Al Dahra Serbia to realize the project of the construction of the business-industrial complex of the animal feed factory in Kovilovo in line with the conditions and measures of environmental protection determined in the study.

Let us remind that the construction of this factory was announced in 2020 as the most modern agricultural complex in this part of Europe.

Construction is planned in three phases, and, within the complex, in addition to the factory where animal feed will be produced through the processing of alfalfa, other facilities will be built as well, such as farms, biogas power plants, new irrigation systems…

The total investment is worth EUR 173 million.

Al Dahra, according to the decision, has a deadline of two years from obtaining the decision to begin the realization of the project.
