International Tender for Reconstruction and Expansion of Bogojevo Port to Be Published on June 30

The international tender for the reconstruction and extension of the Port of Bogojevo will be published on June 30, as said in the prior notice published by the EU Delegation to Serbia.

The scope of the works encompasses the entire project for the execution of the works and the full construction of new capacities of the port of Bogojevo.

As said, support from the European Investments Bank in financing the project has been sought through the agreement on the financing of the infrastructure of the inland waterways of Serbia, signed between Serbia and the EIB in 2019, which is yet to be confirmed.

The value of the job has not been cited. According to the minister of construction, transport and infrastructure of Serbia, Tomislav Momirovic, the state plans to invest a total of EUR 500 million in the ports of Prahovo and Bogojevo combined this and next year, under a concession model.

– We would find a partner. With it, we would make an agreement for the next 30 years for a part to be invested by the state and a part to be invested by the partner, which will also be the operator of the port. It will generate new investments and an increased goods reloading and traffic – Momirovic said in April for RTS.
