Kragujevac a Step Closer to Construction of Northern Bypass Route – State Looking for Strategic Partner for Preparation of the Project and Execution of the Works

The Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure of Serbia has published the public invitation for the selection of the strategic partner for the construction of the Northern Bypass Route around Kragujevac.

Local or foreign legal entities and consortiums which meet the conditions from the Decree on the selection of the strategic partner may apply for the strategic partnership in the project whose investor is the PE Roads of Serbia.

The invitation points out that the obligation of the future strategic partner is to prepare the project-technical documentation which encompasses the project for the building permit, the final project and the project of the built facility, with the execution of the works on the construction of the Northern Bypass Route.

Application for the selection of the strategic partner lasts until February 11, and the opening of the sent bids will take place a day later, at noon, at the premises of the ministry.

The length of the Northern Bypass Route is around 22 km, and the spatial plan of the project encompasses parts of the cadaster municipalities of Cvetojevac, Jovanovac, Kragujevac 4 and Novi Milanovac, with a total area of 65 ha 25 a 15 m2.

The reference speed for the designing of the elements of the route is 100 km/h. There will be four traffic lanes, each with a width of 3.5 meters, edge strips of 0.5 m, breakdown lanes of 1.5 m and merging lanes of 3.5 m.
