Zrenjanin to Close and Ameliorate City Landfill from 1986 – Seeking Designer

The City of Zrenjanin has opened the tender for the preparation of a project for the closing and full amelioration and remediation of the city landfill.

The landfill, which is located around 5 kilometers from the Zrenjanin center, takes up an area of 20 hectares, of which 50% is covered in waste.

– The city landfill is in fact a true dumping site, considering that non-sanitary disposal of mixed municipal waste has been done since 1986, which produces polluted seepage from the waste. Also, there are not sanitary-technical systems for the prevention of the draining of the seepage in the location and there are no systems for any kind of waste treatment either – the tendering documentation says.

The task of the designer will be to prepare a project for the full amelioration and remediation of the landfill, that is, a thorough cleaning of the location.

The estimated value of this job is RSD 12 million.
