As Aviatica learns from the Canadian national airline carrier, Air Canada, a line to Belgrade is being considered.

A direct line to Belgrade is being planned, the company’s PR department confirms.

– We are still considering the flight schedule to certain destinations, including Belgrade – the company told the portal.

When asked to clarify whether this means that Belgrade is certain as a new destination and that it is only an adequate flight schedule that is being sought, Air Canada responded that Belgrade was being considered and that the development of that decision would be presented not long after.

As Aviatica learns unofficially from a proven and reliable source directly familiar with the question, it is not only Air Canada that is considering flights to Belgrade, but Air Serbia also has the same task before it.

The two airline carriers, however, are facing unexpected problems arising from the bilateral agreement on air traffic between Serbia and Canada.

To clarify, this agreement entails regular and direct commercial flights that would be carried out by the airline carriers previously determined by the two countries’ aviation authorities, but also entails a limitation as to the number of weekly flights.
