Mediterranean and the Middle East in Serbia
Lebanese cuisine combines the sophistication of European cuisine with exotic spices of the East. Thanks to an abundance of fruits, vegetables, fresh fish and seafood, Lebanese cuisine is a true Mediterranean, light, low in calories, healthy cuisine. Meat is rarely used, and the most common is the chicken or lamb. Lebanon, situated between the East and West, is a culinary and cultural crossroad of the world. The influence of the small Lebanon on the world's cuisines is inversely proportional. The national dish is kebe, a mixture of meat, borghola (wheat) and spices. Meze is a tradition served in smaller dishes before the main meal. This is a true exhibition in color, taste, shape, scent. The bread is required with each dish.
"Bled" restaurant
The combination of three breads - hubuz mix, will be in each of the three menus that you can choose.
The first menu will allow you to try "the houmus" - spread made of the chickpea and sesame paste, "falafel" - a warm appetizer of chickpea with oriental spices (coriander, cumin and seven spices mix).
For those who still can not imagine a meal without meat, the chefs have prepared menue number 2 which consists of "moutabal" (smoked eggplant in sesame sauce), traditional "fatush" (fresh vegetables and toasted bread) and
" chawarma dejaja "(marinated strips of chicken meat) as a main dish.
Lovers of fish, which usually visit "Bled" restaurant, will not remain deprived. The third menu will consist of "houmus" and a dish "samkeh bil toum bil hammoud", whose main ingredient is grilled fish.
In each of the menus, "tabbuleh" will be served - a traditional salad of parsley, and as a dessert "mahalabi" - Lebanese pudding. Wines from Zivojin Djordjevic are served with each meal, and guests can choose whether they prefer white or red wine.
For a complete delight, the staff will serve strong black coffee, just like you would drink in a country famous for its richness and diversity.
Belly dancing and nargiles
(Beyrut, Lebanon)
However, "Bled" will organize an adequate background program, so the visit to the Restaurant would not be just mere food. For the start, on Thursdays and Fridays (and later according the interest of the visitors) in the evening, guests will enjoy a traditional belly dance. Dressed in exotic costumes, in the sounds of Arabic music, the dancer will try to have at least a moment of thoughts of Belgrade "relocated" to the Middle East.
And for those who had no experience with nargiles, there will opportunities. And that in the Old city.
If the ladies are very insistent, perhaps a male belly dancer visits the Restaurant, added with humour, the Restaurant Manager, Dragana Jankovic.
