Share of Srbijagas in Transportgas Transferred to the State

The Supervisory Board of Srbijagas has reached the decision on the transfer of the 100% share in Transportgas Srbija d.o.o. from the PE Srbijagas to the Republic of Serbia, in line with the action plan for carrying out activities toward a reorganization of the PE Srbijagas, recently adopted by the Government of Serbia.

According to the PE Srbijagas, this marks the beginning of the realization of the government’s action plan and the fulfillment of the conditions from the Third Energy Package and the Law on Energy, all to the end of creating the preconditions for the opening of Cluster Four in the process of Serbia’s accession to the EU, which pertains to the green agenda and infrastructural connections.

Transportgas Srbija d.o.o. was extracted at an earlier date from the system of the PE Srbijagas, which had founded this company back on August 20, 2015.

Since October 1, 2019, Transportgas Srbija has been functioning independently, as shown by the fact that, in the past period, the company directly signed agreements on the transport of natural gas with its users.

The press release says that, with the transfer of the share from the PE Srbijagas to the Republic of Serbia, the process of the extraction of Transportgas Srbija has been fully completed and the conditions for the company to acquire the status of an independent operator of a transport system, in the sense of a legal form, organization and decision-making, have been secured.
