Potential Loans of EUR 1 Billion for Regional and Local Roads Next Year

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has stated that taking out loans worth EUR 1 billion from the World Bank or the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for the construction of regional and local roads next year was being considered.

He said for TV Pink that he was proud of Serbia’s success in building traffic routes and other infrastructure, as well as the agreement on the EU’s aid in the construction of the railway to North Macedonia.

He pointed out that, between 2012 and 2021, the GDP of Serbia had increased 50%, in absolute numbers, from EUR 33.6 billion to over EUR 50 billion.
