As part of the laboratory geomechanical ground examinations, the carrying out of all the tests needed to define the geotechnical requirements for the construction of a subway should be planned.
Based on the defined degree of exploration along the planned route of the first subway line, the locations of exploratory works should be planned along the projected route of the subway in the spots where previous explorations did not define a geotechnical model of the terrain with the amount of detail necessary for the preparation of the Preliminary Project. In the locations where exploratory works have been carried out, and for which the data is not precise enough, a check or additional explorations should be planned, especially in the locations of future underground stations. The depth of the boreholes is at least 10 meters below the lower cote of the tunnel structure of the subway sections, locally dependent on the geotechnical model of the terrain, especially in the locations where subway stations are planned, at least 15 meters below the lower cote of the station structure. All the works need to be carried out with the amount of detail necessary for the preparation of the Preliminary Project.
For the sections between stations, in the section between the planned position of the tunnel portal in Bele vode and the Ada Bridge station, a maximum distance of 150 meters between the boreholes should be planned. On the remaining sections between the stations, a maximum distance of 200 meters between the boreholes should be planned. The exact map of the boreholes should be determined based on the previously prepared detailed geophysical exploration of the terrain between the two stations. Once potential discontinuities or anomalies are detected in the tested zone, the exact number and distribution of the boreholes should be determined, with approval of the Commission of the Procuring Entity, in the zone of the operations of the TBM machine (15 meters to the left and 15 meters to the right of the route's axis).
In the locations of the future subway stations, adequate geophysical explorations need to be planned, which, along with the results of the exploratory boring, should provide entry data for the Preliminary Project.
Bids may be submitted by December 8, 2020, and more details about the tender can be found HERE.
Let us remind that the Faculty of Mining and Geology in Belgrade was recently entrusted with the task of the technical control of the study of engineering geological-geotechnical conditions of the construction for the purposes of the preparation of the Feasibility Study with the Preliminary Project for the first phase of subway line 1.
