Green Card Requirement for BiH to be Removed on October 19

Motor vehicle owners from BiH will be able to travel without a green/white card to EU states, Switzerland, Andorra, Iceland, Norway and Serbia from October 19, it was announced on October 5 by the Green Card Bureau in BiH. This also means that the owner of motor vehicles registered in Serbia under the same conditions will be able to travel to BiH.

– After years of preparations and work on establishing and meeting the criteria and certain standards to the European community of insurers in Brussels, the Green Card Bureau in BiH has signed a multilateral guarantee agreement whereby BiH has become a member of the so-called registration subsystem – the press release says.

As added, with the signing of this agreement with 33 bureaus in the EU, Switzerland and Lichtenstein, Andorra, Iceland, Norway and Serbia, and the decision of the European Commission of September 28 on the implementation of a directive of the European Parliament and Council, the owners of motor vehicles from BiH are enabled to travel to those countries without having a green-white card from October 19.

This way, vehicles from BiH are made equal in every way with vehicles from the EU, Switzerland, Andorra, Iceland, Norway and Serbia, which can be considered the reaching of the highest standards when it comes to the use of motor vehicles in Europe, the Green Card Bureau in BiH points out.
