How much trucks from Loznica must travel to enter Republic of Srpska?

(Border crossing Šepak)
While the officials of Loznica are doing their best to earn greater jurisdiction for the city, including one of the two "headquarters" of the Border Police, there is no indication that freight traffic may be reestablished on the bridge across the Drina, between Loznica and Šepak (Republic of Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina).
It is possible to clear the customs in Loznica, but trucks, if they want to enter the Republic of Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina, can not cross the border in Loznica, that is, they must go to Mali Zvornik. Also, when they return from Bosnia and Herzegovina, from the direction of Bijeljina, they need to travel additional sixty kilometers or so to reach Zvornik, enter Mali Zvornik, and then go home.
Freight traffic was discontinued few years ago when it was mentioned that the crossing near Loznica would be of "the first rank". Instead, the crossing in Mali Zvornik got that status. Before that, the citizens of Mali Zvornik had no special benefit for years, in spite of the fact that they have two bridges across the Drina, because nobody from that region was able to get the job in the customs department. Now the entrepreneurs in Mali Zvornik are in better position than their counterparts in Loznica because they do not have to travel around when they want to leave the country or enter Bosnia and Herzegovina.
At the last meeting of the local parliament in Loznica, the initiative that this city gets the headquarters for Mačva's administrative area was backed unanimously. Until then, the general estimate is that local politicians must do something to start the initiative between the two countries for refurbishment of the bridge between Loznica and Šepak, which should be, at least, covered by good asphalt for start.
