The national car «zastava 10» is nothing else but a complete foreign vehicle that will be made in Torrino factory «Fiat». This was afirmed on the representation of the «national punto» at the «Sava» center, by Zoran Radojevic, the general manager of the Group «Zastava vehicles». Radojevic said that the first 7.000 cars of the «zastava 10» will be made in Torrino, untill «Zastava» is technically modernized, first of all in the area of building up shells in the process of montaging.
Nevertheless, not considering «the move of the year», the government of Serbia did not answer a few important questions, such as payment of customs on cars of foreign origin which only have national stickers, as well as the crucial – is serbian automobile industry becoming a tool, as the one in Hungary? The official information about customs payment on the foreign car wasn't yet given, and this was confirmed by the Customs, not unusual as this could damage the state cash register by milions of euros. On «Zastava's» stand in Novi Sad also mark out that the customs will not be payed because it is the matter of national, domestic product.
Alexander Georgijevski, the chief of the Department for the goods origin, in the Customs, however says that according to unofficial information of the Customs, the car that will be selled in Serbia as domestic «zastava 10», is coming from Italy in parts, and then they will be build up in factory in Kragujevac.
By the momentary law regulation, in international trade procedure the predecided rate for customs is beign paid regularly for this kind of goods. Besides this existing regulation the Customs hasn't been given any other interpretations. There so, for the import of those parts the customs is paid in the regular procedure.
