Contract signed for founding of joint venture "Beograd-Kursk"

- The contract for founding joint venture "Beograd-Kursk", which should connect the markets of Serbia and Russian Federation, has been signed in the trade-industrial chamber of Russian Kursk region - the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia (PKS) announced today (July 15, 2009).

The purpose of that contract, which was signed last week, is organized and united appearance of over 100 Serbian companies in the market of Russian Federation instead of previous minor supply of goods and services.

According to the announcement, company "Beograd-Kursk" should start operating immediately after registration, that is, within the next 30 days.

Thanks to the contract, the exchange of goods between Serbia and Russian Federation will be increased.

According to PKS' analyses, positive effects are expected already this year, which will result in reduction of Serbian deficit, which has been present for some time because of the import of fuels from Russia.

PKS suggested that export-import and production company "Interkomerc" from Belgrade should be the partner from Serbia because it registered annual turnover of over 100m EUR and supplied large market chains.

Kursk region is situated in the central federal area whose western parts are near the border with Ukraine. In that part of Russia, 1.18m citizens live at the surface of 30,000 square meters, and the administrative center is the city of Kursk with 409,000 citizens.
